In July 2008, David Greenberg was appointed President of Maybelline New York * Garnier and assumed leadership of Maybelline New York, the number one cosmetic brand at mass both globally and domestically, and Garnier, whose dramatic expansion shows no signs of stopping. In 2010 Essie was integrated into the division and continues to be a leader in the nail market.

David started his career in marketing in 1993 at L’Oreal Paris, ultimately holding the position of Vice President, Marketing. He then moved on to General Manager of the L’Oréal Consumer Products Division in Mexico, where he spearheaded the dramatic expansion of the Garnier brand. L’Oreal’s Matrix division was next to tap David’s business acumen when he was named Worldwide General Manager of Matrix in 2003 and in the span of two years, led the brand’s global rollout to numerous new markets including the highly coveted BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China).

Widely respected for both his business expertise and his unique attunement to the employees within the organization, David was promoted Senior to Vice President for Human Resources for L’Oreal USA organization in 2005. In that role, David was instrumental in creating and launching innovative company-wide programs benefiting employees that are widely respected within the industry today. David served as Chair of FIT’s Professional Development Committee from 2007-2009. From January 2010 - December 2012, David served as the Chairperson of the Industry Advisory Board for FIT’s Master's Program. He currently serves as a member of FIT’s Executive Board.

David’s general management expertise, marketing vision and sensitivity to the organization’s people make him uniquely poised to build on the success of the Maybelline NY• Garnier Division moving forward.

Whether driving the creative vision and strategy for a leading personal care brand, the most iconic mass cosmetics brand in the business or the go-to nail brand, Carolyn Holba knows what it takes to market beauty successfully.

As the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Maybelline New York, Garnier and essie, Carolyn oversees a billion dollar business and more than 70 employees who together have succeeded in creating breakthrough new product innovations, aspirational, yet accessible advertising, exciting brand platforms and disruptive, in-store executions.

Carolyn joined L’Oreal USA in October 2007 as Vice President of Marketing for Garnier. Prior to that she worked on both the Revlon and Almay Brands where she was the Senior Vice President of Category Marketing and Product Development. In this role, she led global marketing initiatives and new product development for color cosmetics as well as nail care, beauty tools and skincare. Carolyn brings close to twenty years of brand management, advertising and new product development expertise in the beauty industry.

Carolyn holds a MBA in Economics and Marketing from the University of Chicago and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
