Soothe is a massage-on-demand app and mobile service that’s now available in 20 cities across the country with more than 2,700 licensed massage therapists. Soothe delivers a licensed, vetted, certified massage therapist to your home, office or hotel room, with as little as 60 minutes advance notice. Services include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports and Pre-Natal massage, in treatment lengths of 60, 90 or 120 minutes for a fixed fee that includes gratuity and taxes (standard pricing is $99, $139, and $169; however prices in NYC are slightly higher $129, $179 and $219.

Skin Authority has a cool, unique app called My Skin Authority. My Skin Authority is the first free, interactive mobile app that enables a live session with a certified skin coach. The coach gives personalized recommendations and guidance when and where the consumer needs it: at the point of sale, at home, traveling, etc. Skin Authority CEO Celeste Hilling led the creation of My Skin Authority as a way to make the skin care shopping experience interactive, effective and super simple.

Drybar is known for their brick and mortar salons but not many people are aware they also have an app that delivers an Uber-like blow dry experience in your home. They are the same Drybar stylists and Drybar products and tools they use the shops, ‎and you can even track the nearest stylist to you and when she/he can arrive. Tip is included in the $75 price and payment is all via the app. (Booking via the app is currently only available in NYC, but they expect to roll it out across the country soon. DermCheck addresses the fact thatthere are fewer than 10,000 dermatologists in the U.S. serving more than 320 million Americans. If a pimple pops up, or you’re battling winter skin, trying to get to the dermatologist fast can be very inconvenient. This app makes virtual diagnoses of skin conditions a reality. The app offers patients their diagnoses, treatment plans and all necessary prescriptions sent to the pharmacy without having to set foot in a doctor’s office. Users are asked to upload photographs of problem areas to the DermCheck app where they are evaluated by a board-certified dermatologist. Within 24 hours, the patient is counseled, a treatment plan is formulated and prescriptions are written. The app is free and the cost for each evaluation and one month of follow-up and doctor consultation is $39.95 (comparable to a co-pay).

Influenster is there for youwhen deciding between a Tom Ford or YSL mascara at Bloomingdale’s becomes more than you can handle. When in need of tutorials on how to apply eye primers or how to achieve the “natural beauty” look, we turn to how-to guides for help. This app lets you compare makeup products, make instant reviews and discover new products along the way. With a community of more than 1.8 million members who’ve created more than four million reviews on more than one million products, this is sort of the Yelp of beauty.

Beautini is an app that specializes in group services such as weddings, birthday parties, bachelorette parties. When you book an appointment for your group, it’ll include bubbly and silk robes for clients to wear during the services. They offer both hair and makeup services and can be found in the app store.

Stylisted lets you book on-location hair styling and makeup appointments from a network of vetted beauty professionals. The digital platform provides clients with a wide selection of services, including blowouts, dry styling, up-dos, makeup application, airbrushing and lashes. It is the only on-location beauty service that allows the client to choose her own stylist via the app and website, so she can hire the best stylist to fit her unique needs. Stylisted is available in Chicago, New York City, Washington DC and Los Angeles.

BeGlammed was created by business and beauty veteran Maile Pacheco, who has worked with A-listers such as Elton John, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. With services ranging from makeup touch-ups, up-do’s, group and bridal glam packages, girls can now enjoy the luxury of having the salon come to them.

Vive is a different kind of blowout app, one that lets you book a blowout on demand at locations in New York City, the Hamptons and Chicago. Their interesting point is that you can get a sort of gym membership for your hair and book a subscription for unlimited blowouts – and then go every day if you want!
