Pat McGrath Talks Holiday Launches, Second Met Collaboration


Legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath threw a glittery breakfast bash October 10 in the PH of The New York Edition hotel celebrating the release of her namesake eye and lip collections for Holiday. The event space was covered in her brand’s signature gold sequins, and in addition to treating beauty editors and influencers to a hearty breakfast buffet and macrons, makeup artists were on hand to provide full makeup application of the new launches which will be released October 18 on patmcgrath.com. The Holiday Collection includes a trio of bejeweled pallets of six shades ($55), inspired by her sold-out Limited Edition Labs Collection, and six complimentary matte lipsticks ($38) from the brand’s current MatteTrance line. Both eye and lip collections are stocking-stuffer ready, housed in bejeweled aquamarine, ruby and pink sapphire packaging. Along with the limited-edition holiday offerings, Pat also unveiled a new permanent lip collection, BlitzTrance ($38), featuring eight new full-coverage, high-shine lipsticks, infused with glittering pigments and ultra-reflective pearls, set to be released today.

Pat also shared the exciting announcement of The Adorned collection, her second exclusive collaboration with The Met Store. The cosmetic and apparel line draws inspiration from jewelry featured in the upcoming exhibition Jewelry: The Body Transformed, which opens November 12 at The Met Fifth Avenue. Beauty offerings include a special edition, artistry palette of the brand’s MOTHERSHIP V: Bronze Seduction Eyeshadow Palette, LUST: Gloss in BLITZ GOLD, and ALIENGELIC. The items became available on October 10 at patmcgrath.com and store.metmuseum.org, and marks the first time The Met Store will sell cosmetics on their website. Prices range from $38 to $125.

Wellness Line Olly Gets Focused
Celebrity makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, best known for Kim Kardashian West’s iconic makeup looks, held an intimate brain-powered breakfast at the Crosby Hotel to debut the launch of wellness brand Olly’s latest chewable supplement, Laser Focus ($14). The three-year-old company is already exceeding $100 million in annual revenue, according to Forbes, with its millennial-focused brand that addresses various health, beauty and wellness issues including a clear complexion, sleep, stress and energy. The new Laser Focus gummies features a tangy blend of strawberry and tangerine and contains American Ginseng, B-vitamins and choline designed to work together to optimize thinking power and concentration. Tables at the event were set with pink and orange colored floral arrangements and sliced citrus fruit as an ode to the new product’s playful packaging and ingredients. Mario mingled with guests over fresh fruit, avocado toast and omelets and shared that that he keeps various gummies from the line on makeup vanities while working to spark dialogue and interest from his celebrity clients.
