We’ve all fantasized about being rich and entitled – with a personal team of stylists coming to our home at a moment’s notice ranking high on our wish list if we hit it big. But thanks to the current age of on-demand beauty, there’s actually a lot of affordable options out there – from blowouts to lashes, to even getting your teeth whitened, without ever having to leave your home.

Lavaan: This NYC-based dental office now offers on-the-go spa-like dental services (think cleaning and whitening). Aside from their jewel-box Greenwich Village location, the founding husband and wife are a cosmetic dentist-orthodontist team that offers VIP in-home whitening treatments. With an appointment made in advance, prices start at $999, and include a voucher for a free dental cleaning at the New York City location. The 30-minute service with Dr. Jeffrey Rappaport utilizes a hand-held portable whitening device that allows patients mobility, comfort and personalized care in the comfort and privacy of home. Fun fact: group rates are also available. (http://lavaansmile.com)

Stylisted: This digital platform books on-location hair styling and makeup appointments from a network of vetted beauty professionals in New York City (all five boroughs – something many on-demand apps can’t offer), Chicago and Los Angeles via Stylisted.com and their IOS app. Services include blowouts, dry styling, up-dos, makeup application, airbrushing and lashes in a client’s home, office, hotel, or any location of your choosing. New Yorkers may have a few on-demand beauty apps to choose from right now, but so far this is the only on-location beauty service that allows the client to choose her own stylist via the app and website, so she can hire the best stylist to fit her unique needs. YoDerm: This mobile-optimized web platform creates the opportunity for a personalized consultation and prescription acne treatment from a board-certified dermatologist through any computer or mobile device. The entire process only takes three simple steps. First, patients select their physician from a list of dermatologists that are licensed in their state. Next, patients detail their medical history, including past acne treatments and medication preferences, and use any camera (webcam, smartphone or digital camera) to upload photos of their face from several angles. Finally, within 24 hours patients receive a personalized treatment plan and any prescriptions will be sent directly to their preferred pharmacy. A YoDerm consultation costs just $59 with no co-pays or hidden fees and does not require insurance and is currently available in California, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Pennsylvania, but will be rolling out nationwide soon. Zeel: Feeling the drain of a long, hard winter? Treat yourself to an in-home massage with an app that lets you book same-day, in-home massages with licensed and vetted therapists. Services are currently available in the New York City, Long Island, NY Hamptons, NY, Miami, Palm Beach, Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay areas. (https://www.zeel.com/massage-on-demand)

Fitmob: One of the side effects of a long, cold winter is that many of us have completely abandoned our workout routine. It’s hard enough to get to the gym when it’s beautiful out. Add in snow and ice and it’s simply not happening. This app brings the gym to you, sending trainers right to your home or office. And, as added motivation, the more you use the app, the cheaper each appointment is! (https://www.fitmob.com)
