Early Tuesday morning Bloomberg News reported that consumer giant Unilever PLC and Spanish beauty firm Puig are among the beauty companies vying to buy celebrity makeup brand Charlotte Tilbury.

Bloomberg also reported that L’Oréal, Estée Lauder and Shiseido had made bids, too. According to CEW’s Indie65 Report, published in 2019, Charlotte was still a majority owner of the brand she created in 2013, which is sold globally in premium department and specialty stores, as well as in her own namesake stores and online. In 2018 the brand generated about $75 million in sales. Charlotte opened her first U.S. store in L.A. in the summer of 2019.
