After successfully debuting a fashion line last year, mega influencer Camila Coelho is expanding her entrepreneurial wings and breaking into beauty with the launch of Elaluz, a high-performance, clean beauty line inspired by her multicultural Brazilian heritage.

“I’ve been a beauty lover since I was a little girl,” explained Camila. “After high school, I got a job at the Dior makeup counter selling makeup and that’s when I really saw how truly powerful and empowering beauty is. From there, I decided to become a makeup artist and that’s when I found YouTube and I started to do my content online. I’ve accomplished so many things in the past, but my own beauty brand has always been my biggest dream and now it’s finally coming true.”

The line will be debuted on August 3 with two lip products: 24K Lip Therapy ($28), a hydrating treatment featuring 24K gold and four ultra-nourishing oils and butters, and Lip & Cheek Stain, a multitasking tint featuring a blend of Brazilian Guarana and Prickly Pear Extracts ($34).

“I know that no beauty customer shops from only one brand, so I didn’t want to create a full line,” explained Camila. “Instead, I focused on my must-haves that I really believe in. Elaluz is an on-the-go lifestyle brand, driven by key products I carry with me as a global entrepreneur and each product is designed to be a partner in the daily hustle, making life a little easier for power and confident people on the go.”

Elaluz, which means “she is light,” in Camila’s native language, Portuguese, is focused on inclusivity, sustainability and transparency. The products have been designed with conscious choices in ingredients, formulas and packaging, and are permeated with Brazilian superfoods, essential oils and extracts.

“My global audience and heritage sat top of mind when starting this brand and the need for everyone to feel included,” she said. “We’re exploring so many native Brazilian ingredients from nuts, to plants, to fruits. Brazil is so rich in agriculture and I really wanted to tap into that. Additionally, the packaging is all recyclable and uses reusable materials whenever possible.”

The brand is launching under Luxury Brand Partners, which recently partnered with influencer Patrick Starrr to launch his ONE/SIZE makeup line. The firm recently raised $50 million from Bookend Capital Partners, as part of a minority investment deal to accelerate growth for its current portfolio brands and fuel new incubations.

“Camila is a voice of the new beauty generation and we at LBP are known for artist-driven brands, so it’s a perfect fit,” Tevya Finger, Founder and CEO of Luxury Brand Partners. “She’s been in the space for a long time and started her career working in the beauty industry. She was one of the first influencers out there. It’s also important for us to balance out our portfolio by adding more female founders and presidents.”

With a reach of 15 million followers across her social platforms, Camila will be supporting the brand launch through her own posts, but the brand will have its own dedicated social media accounts.

“Elaluz has and will build its own bespoke presence on all digital platforms,” said Elizabeth Maul, President of Elaluz. “Camila will certainly play an important role in driving awareness and content will regularly include her as the founder with features and brand updates. Elaluz will also expand beyond Camila to include a diverse portfolio of faces, which directly represents her global audience and the Elaluz customer.”

The brand will be available globally on Elaluz.com, NetaPorter.com and Saks.com and have monthly releases throughout the year spanning across several categories including skin care, makeup, body and hair care.
