Ciaté London is thinking outside the paintbox.

The UK-based brand, best known for its DIY nail kits that kicked off the trend of including feathers, sequins and beads into manicures, is now launching a makeup line, to be sold exclusively at Sephora. And, they’ve tapped socialite and fashionista extraordinaire, Olivia Palermo, as its Guest Creative Director for 2015 to oversee four limited-edition lines as part of the Olivia Palermo X Ciaté London Colour Collection.

“These products were 24 months in the making,” said Charlotte Knight, Founder and Creative Director of Ciaté. “We hosted focus groups filled with influencers and customers, and put the products through rigorous testing to make sure they stand up to what we are claiming.”

With the tagline LOVE.PLAY.COLOUR, the cosmetics line features an array of formulas, textures and color spectrums.

Star items include a dual eyeliner, Khol Kajal and Eye Liner Felt Pen Duo, which features a long, tapered crease-proof 12 hour liquid liner and a soft Khol Kajal liner. There’s also Triple Shot Mascara, which aims to voluminize, lengthen and curl lashes.

Other products among the 80-sku lineup include six shades of sheer, natural-looking cheek color and two bronzers shaped in the form of a 180 degree dome applicator that can be applied directly to cheekbones. There are also 12 thin eye shadow sticks (nine shimmers and three matte); six colored mascaras and jewel-toned chrome eyeliners, as well as metallic eye shadows that instantly produce a cooling sensation to the lids when applied.

For lips, there are five matte liquid velvety shades, eight sheer glosses and eight highly-pigmented lip glazes. Consumers can also look forward to LIP & MIX, an assortment of holographic glitters, pearlescent powders and velvet consistencies that can be applied to lips with the brand’s lip adhesive for a textured lip look. Additionally, the lip line features a tint-adapt lipgloss that switches from a clear shade to a rosy hue unique to the wearer’s skin tone, as well as a lipstick sealer developed to make lip colors transfer-proof.

For a limited time, the line will make available its Chalk Collection, which features four pastel eye pencil shadows, two color lash tip highlighters and six Lip Chalk crayons, all of which were inspired by the pale dusty colors seen on the spring 2015 runways.

Ciaté LOVE.PLAY.COLOUR launches in March, and the Olivia Palermo X Ciaté London Colour Collection will debut with three shades of nail enamel in May.

In fall 2015, fans will see the introduction of color cosmetics from Olivas’s line as part of the partnership with highly pigmented formulas, suede inspired textures and high-tech ingredients, including a moisture rich lipstick, a pigmented smoky eye palette and a contouring compact.
