Coty is aiming to strengthen its luxury and digital leadership teams with two new appointments.

Isabelle Bonfanti will join the company as Chief Commercial Officer, Luxury, beginning November 1, succeeding Edgar Huber who is stepping down after five years at the company. During his tenure, Edgar oversaw both the Luxury and Consumer Beauty divisions, with a focus on commercial development of Coty across the globe. As Isabelle focuses on executing Coty’s global Luxury sales strategy and grow revenues, Coty intends to appoint a separate leader for the Consumer Beauty division. With more than 30 years of experience in international brand development, Isabelle’s career includes working with L’Oréal’s Luxury division for 17 years across a variety of international general management and commercial positions, and 10 years at Hermès in senior leadership roles. Edgar will remain with Coty for several months to help Isabelle transition into the role.

And, Jean-Denis Mariani has been appointed as Coty’s first Chief Digital Officer, effective November 1. The announcement comes after Coty reported that its e-commerce penetration more than doubled in recent months. In the newly created role, he is expected to lead the company’s approach to digital, including growing global ecommerce and DTC. He joins Coty from Guerlain where he served as Chief Digital Officer and a member of the Executive Committee, overseeing the brand’s digital transformation and e-commerce acceleration over 35 countries.

Both will report directly to Sue Y. Nabi, Chief Executive Officer.
