Quickly gaining buzz—thanks to a recent successful appearance on QVC—is Le Mieux Cosmetics’ Skin Perfecter. The DIY professional skin care device is a non-invasive rechargeable beauty tool that combines four skin treatments into one to deep clean, exfoliate, extract and infuse topical treatments. Its QVC debut on July 22 sold more than 1,300 units (a sell out) with a wait list of more than 325 people. Each item retails for $225.

Janel Luu, CEO of Le Mieux Cosmetics, said the new tool is different from what is currently on the market due to its professional-strength ultrasonic waves that are designed to gently and visibly improve lines and wrinkles, pores, texture, clarity and smoothness in two weeks of use. In clinical studies over a two week period, 100% of participants showed an immediate improvement in skin exfoliation, while 84% of participants saw improvement in overall skin appearance, 80% of participants saw immediate improvement in brightness, 69% of participants saw an immediate improvement in radiance, luminosity and healthier-looking skin, 65% of participants saw an improvement in the appearance of skin texture and smoothness and 50% of participants saw an improvement in appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin Perfecter is currently sold exclusively on QVC, as well as in professional beauty stores Nigel Beauty Emporium and Kenig+Alcone. The product, which is made in Taiwan, is distributed out of Los Angeles, where the parent company, Le Mieux Cosmetics, is based.

Resonating at 28,000 vibrations per second, the Skin Perfecter has been designed to gently glide over wet skin, producing ultrasonic waves that pulverize water, creating micronized particles that deep cleanse pores of excess oil and impurities, exfoliate cellular debris, extract blackheads and whiteheads, reduce the look of enlarged pores, and resurface lines and wrinkles. As an added benefit, its pulsating ultrasonic waves accelerate the absorption of serums and other skincare products, which is confirmed by the clinical study, producing far more effective results than massaging products into the skin by hand.

To perform effective deep cleansing, extraction and exfoliation, Janel recommends holding the unit with the tip of the spatula angled down. “Keep the skin wet, and always move the Skin Perfecter outward and upward,” she advised.
