This month Fendi is adding a splash of color to its women’s fragrance collection with the introduction of Fan di Fendi Blossom, a new pink-toned perfume inspired by the delicate bouquet of flowering sakura cherry blossoms.

“We wanted to create and offer an experience of FENDI that is younger and fresher,” said Isabelle Gex, President of Fendi Fragrances, the luxury Italian firm, part of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

As the fifth women’s fragrance in the Fendi family, Fan di Fendi Blossom is designed to be the most daring. Its advertising campaign features Danish model, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, portraying the ultimate Fan di Fendi Blossom woman: sophisticated and sensual. Draped in Fendi’s Resort 2013 pink fur coat, Caroline looks ahead seductively while holding an oversized version of the bottle that reveals the colored liquid through its transparent glass.

The design of the bottle evokes the theme of combining delicate femininity and refinement and uses, for the first time, a unique chromatic contrast of pinks topped off by a silver cap, inspired by Fendi’s iconic Peekaboo bag.

For the senses, the fragrance opens on a fruity gourmand accord that blends Japanese Nashi Pear with raspberries, which leads into the heart – the sakura cherry blossom. The final note ends with vanilla essence with a subtle hint of powder.

“This fragrance is about having fun, enjoying life, and feeling girly, but also realizing that you can be sophisticated at the same time,” said Isabelle. “Women will fall in love with this fragrance since it allows them to have the luxurious experience of Fendi every day.”

Fan Di Fendi Blossom is now available at Macys.com, Saks Fifth Ave and Bloomingdales, and sells for $71 for a 1.7-oz bottle and $86 for a 2.5-oz bottle.
