This month, Holiday offerings began targeting consumers to buy now to avoid being empty-handed later. This is especially true for advent calendars, which tend to disappear by mid-November, if not before. In turn, beauty retailers have stocked their virtual and brick-and-mortar shelves with what they are hoping are this year’s holiday hits. Here, the Top 10 trends seen at recent holiday previews for mega retailers Amazon, HSN, QVC, B&BW and Walmart.

Advent Calendars

“The only thing better than receiving one beauty gift is getting 24!” said Rob Robillard, VP of Integrated Beauty Qurate Retail Group (QVC/HSN/zulily). Advent calendars have been a growing trend over recent years and he doesn’t foresee that changing anytime soon, which is why they created the QVC Beauty Christmas Advent Calendar, retailing for $65. “Not only is it a savvy way to try new products and brands at a great value, the idea of being able to unveil a special beauty surprise each day during the holiday season can become an exciting tradition,” he said. For an even lower price point, Walmart offers the Onyx Bathhouse’s 25 Days of Bath Bliss Advent Calendar, which serves up 25 bath bombs for under $20.

Crystals
Crystals, in addition to all things vaguely witchy and new-agey, continue to be a trend in the overall wellness and beauty space. On Amazon, Gua Sha scraping tools like this three-piece one from Jovivi made from rose quartz, promote lymphatic drainage and skin health. Over at Walmart, their house brand, Equate, offers an incredible deal of $10 for a rose quartz face roller, all the rage on Instagram. Last, HSN offers a BeautyBio rose quartz roller in a kit complete with its ultimate face cream for $145.

Break-Apart Gifts
Coming up with gift ideas for all of the people on our lists can be overwhelming and time consuming, which is why gift sets are such a popular trend across our beauty categories, Rob said. “From the Beekman 1802 Bounty Box on HSN to QVC’s bareMinerals Gen Nude Lip Vault, there’s a curation of gift ideas that can be split up and broken apart into smaller presents for teachers, neighbors, or anyone in your life who deserves a special treat during the holidays,” he noted.

Candles

Home fragrance continues to grow in popularity, especially with regard to holiday gifting. NEST Fragrances is selling exclusively for QVC a fine fragrance/candle duo in its newest scent, Cocoa Woods. Packaged in a botanically-beautiful box housing an equally stunningly designed perfume and candle, this set offers a gorgeously gourmand sensibility for both you and your home. Bath And Body Works offers a bevy of beautiful candle offerings in festive fragrances as well, in favorite standbys like Winter Candy Apple and Vanilla Bean Noel, but also in new iterations like ‘Tis The Season and Frosted Cranberry. The brand also offers candle accoutrement like covers adorned with little Christmas-tree cut-outs, in addition to an on-trend iridescent candle stand.

Bath Gifts

Bath-related items are experiencing a boom. Walmart offers its Bubble Bath Cocktail Set ($10), in addition to the Onyx Bathhouse Fizzer Gift Set, which makes the perfect stocking stuffers. Over at QVC, there’s the Fizz & Bubble Fizzy Truffle Trio ($39) and La Petite Pastry Shop Set Of 4 Pastry Donuts ($26).

Gifts For Men

This year, the focus is also on men. It’s easy to think about women when it comes to giving the gift of beauty, but don’t forget about men – they need pampering, too, said Rob. HSN offers the Beekman 1802 Perfect Gent Grooming Kit ($55), in addition to the Lump of Kohl Goat Milk Bar Soap Four-Piece Set ($49).

Asian Beauty

At QVC, TATCHA offers an incredible 7-Piece Grand Holiday Skincare Collection with full-size products, valued at $238. “It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the latest Asian-influenced beauty innovations and start the New Year off right by pampering yourself with a luxurious skincare routine,” Rob noted. QVC is also offering Julep’s Passport to K-Beauty, a huge set of skincare housed in a three-drawer “dresser,” featuring oils, creams, and sheet masks to pamper your skin with for all of your holiday festivities.

Masks

Walmart’s modus operandi is offering tube versions of their best-selling sheet masks to offer a better value for consumers. I love the Soo Ae Diamond Glow Peel-Off Mask, which retails for under $7. The megastore offers sheet masks from Masquelogy and By Nature for just $2.50 each.

Whimsical Packaging

Who can say no to adorably packaged items you need for day-to-day life? On QVC, Tarte offers its Let’s Flamingle Brush Set ($44), featuring four brushes adorned in gold metallic and pink bristles in shapes ranging from a pineapple to a flamingo (of course). On Amazon, you’ll find Too Faced adorably peach-scented eye shadow palette called Sweet Peach for $40.
