CEW’s Beauty Creators Awards (BCA) program is known for recognizing the best innovations in beauty, and the program has continuously evolved to highlight top performers across the entire industry. Beauty is broad, so BCA is designed to offer a diverse selection of award categories to ensure that the hard work done by the beauty community is recognized. This is especially realized through the program’s specialty award categories, including the Supplier’s Award, the Sustainability Award, the QVC Beauty Quest Award, and the People’s Choice Award, which includes the Iconic Award and the Social Superstars Award. Here, a refresher of what each award honors.

The Supplier’s Award: Ingredients and Formulation is sponsored by the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) and recognizes new ingredients or formulations that bring innovation and new technology to the beauty industry. A curated panel of judges from leading beauty and personal care brands including members of the NYSCC Scientific Advisory Committee selected the finalists which can be viewed here. The organization is dedicated to the advancement of cosmetic science through meetings and publications.

The Sustainability Award was established to encourage and celebrate beauty brands taking actionable steps towards reducing their carbon footprint within the industry. The award is sponsored by Firmenich, which established its sustainability mission more than 30 years ago. The company’s commitment to sustainability remains unwavering, whether it’s innovating for well-being, being part of shaping a new sanitation economy or protecting the environment through its #NaturalsTogether program. Since 2010, CEW and QVC have partnered for the annual QVC Beauty Quest award to help the platform discover the next “big thing” in beauty. The award provides the winner an opportunity to connect with millions of shoppers across the platform, which is known for fostering growth of many brands. QVC engages shoppers via 12 broadcast networks and offers brands a powerful stage to share their stories across broadcast, streaming, web, social and mobile. This year, CEW has unveiled two People’s Choice Beauty Creators Awards – the Iconic Beauty Award and the Social Superstar Award – in partnership with Beauty for All Industries (the parent company of IPSY and Boxycharm) and Cheddar News. The award taps each organization’s community of consumers to vote on the two aforementioned beauty award categories (voting is typically restricted to CEW’s beauty executive membership.) The Iconic Beauty Award celebrates ground-breaking products that have demonstrated longevity in beauty (in the market for 10 years or more) and are still available for purchase. The Social Superstars Award will honor the brand with the most highly engaged and successful campaign.
