L’Oréal USA’s Professional Products Division has made several changes to their executive leadership team.

Antonio Martinez-Rumbo, President, Professional Products Division [PPD], will be leaving his role in early July to take on new responsibilities with the L’Oréal Group in Europe, which will be announced at a later date.  Antonio joined the U.S. team in 2017 and oversaw the growth of PPD for the last threee years and also developed the “Salon of the Future” concept, a program to support the business growth and future success of the salon industry. He will be succeeded by Leslie Marino, who has been appointed to the newly created role of President, Professional Products Division American Brands, overseeing a portfolio which includes Redken, Matrix, Biolage, Mizani, Pureology, Baxter and L’Oréal Technique brands. Prior to her new role, Leslie held a seven-year tenure as General Manager of Redken & Pureology, and also served as General Manager of Kérastase & Shu Uemura Art of Hair for three years. Her former position will now be succeeded by Candy Gebhart, who will hold the title of General Manager of Redken U.S. Candy joined L’Oréal in 2014 as Vice President of Marketing for L’Oréal Professionnel, before shifting to lead marketing for Redken global and Matrix U.S. In 2018, she was promoted to General Manager of Pureology, where she is credited for optimizing the brand structure, boosting its digital presence, and achieving double-digit growth for the brand. As Candy transitions to Redken, Teresa Lopez, who has held the position of General Manager of Mizani and L’Oréal Technique since 2015, will add Pureology into her portfolio.

In addition to the new leadership changes, L’Oréal Professionnel has announced that Matrix and Biolage will transition into two separate brands running independently in the U.S. and under separate leadership teams.

To that end, Carrington Cole has been named Senior Vice President of Matrix U.S. He joined L’Oréal USA in 2003, beginning with Matrix U.S., before spending more than six years in various roles across Kérastase/ Shu Uemura, Pureology and Redken.

Biolage U.S. will be led by Mounia Tahiri, who has been named Senior Vice President. Mounia began her L’Oréal career in France and arrived in the U.S. in 2009 to work on Maybelline global. She joined the Professional Products Division in 2011 within Redken’s global team, followed by four years leading Matrix U.S. Haircare & Styling Marketing. Since 2017, she has lead the new Professional Products Ulta team, building a new omni-channel approach to the Ulta business, facilitating strong growth in e-retail.

Ana Maria Alonso Viola will transition to Vice President of Redken U.S. Marketing, reporting to Candy Gebhart. Ana joined L’Oréal in 2010 with L’Oréal Paris and in 2012, she moved over to the Pureology global business, and later joined Matrix as global AVP, Hair Color & Texture. In 2015, Ana spent three years overseeing Carol’s Daughter Brand Marketing, before returning to Professional Products in 2018 to head marketing for Matrix U.S., as the brand entered new channels.
