“Over the next 10 years, two distinct forces of change will disrupt the consumer landscape, causing ripples and waves across industries worldwide,” according to a new report by Mintel called, Global Beauty and Personal Care Trends 2030. First, the brand-consumer relationship is predicted to shift in a more seismic manner. Second, seemingly similar consumers will move in opposite directions creating significant challenges for businesses.

With the above two forces in play, Mintel created two research-backed beauty and personal care trends, offering beauty manufacturers, companies and brands tangible ways they can adapt to meet the varying mindsets of beauty consumers. Sarah Jindal, Associate Director, Beauty & Personal Care, Mintel, will share the two major trends as well as what it means for the future at CEW’s annual State of the Beauty Industry Report event to be held on Friday, February 7 at The Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

She will be joined by NPD’s Vice President, Industry Advisor, Larissa Jensen, who will present the Hot Off The Press Year-End Review, which will include, for the first time, sales performance of digitally-native brands. Genevieve Lee Aronson, Vice President of Communications, Nielsen, will share data insights on opportunities to market to today’s consumer, and speakers from Google and Spate will share insights on consumer digital search patterns and what predictions this has for the future of beauty marketing.

The event begins with a breakfast and networking session at 8 a.m., followed by the program at 9 a.m. To learn more and register, click here.
