A new beauty reality series is looking to bridge the gap between TV, digital and the beauty and fashion industries.

Hosted by actress Tori Spelling and style guru Kim Vo, The Look: All Stars, is set to premier on the Sinclair Broadcast Group’s CW and MyNetwork affiliates on Sunday, June 24, nationwide.

The hour-long head-to-toe make-over competition, created by Dreamventure Productions, challenges two teams of established hair, makeup and fashion stylists to perform real-world and aspirational transformations on participants for a chance to win the grand prize, which includes a VIP vacation package from Westgate Resorts. Each episode features a new panel of judges made up of beauty legends, fashion icons, entertainers and top social media influencers.

Although it’s a competition, the TV series is aiming to be a drama-free, educational experience, offering a platform for hair, makeup and fashion industry artists to showcase tools, products, trends and knowledge so viewers can recreate the looks at home. To that end, audience members can virtually try on the makeovers featured in the show through augmented reality app, Perfect365.

“This on-going collaboration proves that digital beauty is continuing to grow and marks a shift in the way TV shows and brands will continue to utilize technology like Perfect365 to engage with their audiences in different ways,” says Cara Harbor, Perfect365 Director of Marketing.

Leading up to the show’s premier, Perfect365 will provide a sneak peek of four looks, and users can tune into the show when it debuts to see how they were created. Perfect365 will also feature artists and makeup brands from the show in its Explorer Community and Tools section, respectively.

In addition to the app, tutorials, beauty recipes, color formulas and special product promotions will be offered through the show’s website and social media platforms. Fans will also have the opportunity to experience the products used on set through product giveaways, which will be promoted on social media.

Some of the beauty partners highlighted through the episodes include Aquage; Biosilk; Chi; Conair Professional; Esquire; HairTalk; Minerva; Obliphica; Olaplex; Rusk; Schwarzkopf; TIGI; Zadro; WetBrush; Sportsclips with American Crew, Joico and Paul Mitchell; BSG CosmoProf, and the Professional Beauty Association.

Daniela Ciocan, Marketing Director of Cosmoprof, is one of the Executive Producers of the weekly series.
