Obagi has named a new brand ambassador.

Grace Strobel, Down Syndrome advocate, role model, model and speaker, has been tapped as Obagi’s newest SKINclusion Ambassador and the face of the new Obagi Clinical Kinetin+ Exfoliating Cleansing Gel. Priyanka Chopra Jonas was the face of Obagi’s SKINclusion initiative in 2019.

Grace is the first model with Down syndrome to represent a skin care brand in the U.S. October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

“This partnership means the world to me and I am so excited to be a SKINclusion Ambassador because I love what Obagi stands for. Diversity, inclusion and beauty. I think people with disabilities sometimes feel invisible. I became a model and speaker to help people see the value in others. And that’s what Obagi does – looks into our faces and our hearts and sees the beauty in all of us. To be fearless. To be strong. To stand up for others. And to feel beautiful in our own skin,” said Grace.

SKINclusion is Obagi’s initiative designed to elevate the global dialogue about diversity. Jamie Castle, President of Obagi, said she received a letter from Grace
explaining how she felt underrepresented in the beauty and skin care industries.

“After first speaking with Grace we knew we wanted to bring her into the Obagi family. With elegance, humor, ambition and determination, Grace is working to
change society’s view of people with disabilities,” Jamie said.

Grace’s imagery will be featured on the brand’s website product page. An announcement featuring Grace went out on Obagi’s Instagram Thursday, October 1. Grace will share her story and mission via a takeover of the brand’s Instagram handle, @obagiclinical, on October 27. Obagi is currently working on revamping obagiclinical.com, which will have a special SKINCLUSION page specifically focused on Grace and her story, slated to launch next month.
