After 31 years at OPI Products Inc.,Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, an OPI Co-Founder and Executive Vice President, will transition to OPI Consultant, effective July 1, the company announced earlier this week.

In her new role, she will continue to represent the brand to journalists and retail clients and will remain OPI’s creative inspiration.

“I have witnessed OPI’s successful evolution in becoming the world leader in professional nail care,” said Suzi in a company press release. “Now, more than ever, is the time for nails and I am excited to continue to share my expertise with nail fans across the world.”

Suzi is credited with creating the first 30 OPI colors in 1989, and has since developed over 400 shades of nail lacquer.

“Suzi is a living legend in the business,” said Renato Semerari, President, CotyBeauty. “Her creativity and passion led to numerous collaborative partnerships and unique nail color names and shades that women around the world identify with. I want to thank Suzi for her contributions in making OPI the illustrious brand it is today.”

In December, Mary van Praag was named General Manager of OPI replacing John Heffner.
