The ‘pop up’ beauty concept has expanded into dermatology with the launch of BeautyRx’s Peel Bar by Dr. Neal Schultz within the Flatiron District’s Butterfly Studio Salon. BeautyRx’s Peel Bar, which kicks off this month, offers the noted Upper East Side dermatologist’s most popular lunchtime skin fix, a professional strength 40% glycolic peel, unique in that it delivers instant results without any redness, irritation or downtime. The Peel consists of a brief consultation, cleansing, peel application (for two minutes) and removal and application of sunscreen, all in under 10 minutes.

Gycolic peels are known to remove dead skin cells and reveal glowing skin. Typically, Dr. Schultz’s the in-office peel retails for $225, but BeautyRx’s Peel Bar at Butterfly Studio Salon, located at 149 Fifth Avenue, is promoting the peel for $39 to attract consumers who have considered a peel but were deterred by price. Dr. Schultz’s office has performed more than 50,000 of these peels over the years.

“The glycolic peel is the workhorse of all the non-invasive services offered by Dr. Schultz. It’s been an insider secret for about a decade and is known to be the quickest way to get a glow with no downtime or irritation,” said Stuart Schultz, head of marketing for the dermatology practice located at 1130 Park Avenue, and also its retail product line, which is sold on HSN. “People think a peel is a big production but it’s not, so we wanted to make it available in a location where you are in and out in less than 10 minutes. There’s even an area where people can apply their makeup afterwards. There’s no waiting in the doctor’s office, which can also be a deterrent.”

BeautyRx’s Peel Bar is staffed with experts from Dr. Schultz’s office, and is open from 1 pm to 4 pm on Tuesdays and 12 pm to 5 pm on Thursdays.
