Cassandra Daily recently posted how consumers now have a bevy of online options in finding a new fragrance—virtually risk free. Below, an excerpt of their story that outlines three new scent ecommerce endeavors.

Pinrose: Pinrose is a new perfume startup that facilitates consumer flirtation with multiple fragrances. The company encourages shoppers to “build a fragrance wardrobe” by using its scent finder algorithm to identify the three best suited to their taste, personality, and lifestyle; free samples of the match trio can be ordered before making any purchases.

Bergamot: Bergamot is a fragrance delivery service that allows members to test boutique perfumes through one-, three-, or six-month subscription packages. Each month’s package includes three luxe samples, each from a different maker, that are curated around a theme, like “Lost at Sea” or “Indian Summer.” Purchase of a full-size bottle earns members a bonus subscription month.

Olfactif: Fragrance subscription company Olfactif is tapping into the trend by marketing perfume as a collectible art form. Members receive a collection of three deluxe-size artisan perfume samples each month. “Fragrance art” collections are intended to be explored not only on a sensual level but also an intellectual one, as maker stories, scent guides, and discussions are published on the Olfactif website.
