The inaugural Perfumed Plume Awards For Fragrance Journalism recently celebrated six writers for their skill in capturing in words and pictures the complex world of fragrance.

The launch party, held at the prestigious Salon at the Rizzoli Bookstore in New York City, welcomed fragrance taste-makers, influencers and industry notables from the world of publishing, fragrance and design, including Parlux’s Don Loftus, Silk Route Strategists’ Mary Manning, FIT’s Virginia Bonofiglio, Marc Rosen and PR maven Tanya Pushkine.

Each winner was presented with a check for $1,000 from the Perfumed Plume Awards and brushed chrome “Apogee” pen by Cross, now the official “Plume” award.

“Congratulations to the Perfumed Plume Awards for a very successful event that shines a spotlight on creative storytelling exploring the art of fragrance,” said Westly Morris, Senior Vice President, Fine Fragrance, Mane and founding sponsor. “One art form writing about another art form – an inspiring blend.”

The Perfumed Plume Awards for Fragrance Journalism is a new, independent recognition of creative storytelling that aims to enlighten, engage and educate the consumer on the art and craft of fragrance. The awards were founded by experienced fragrance industry insiders, Mary Ellen Lapsansky and Lyn Leigh.
