Total Beauty Media Group, the Los Angeles-based beauty wellness publisher, has collaborated with Revlon on the group’s first single-brand sample box. Selling for $15 (a $30 value), the box includes full-sized Revlon products in a variety of color themes from The Pacific Coast Collection. A “get the look” story booklet by Gucci Westman, the company’s Global Artistic Director, is also included.

Total Beauty Collection, the publisher’s for-purchase sampling program, has in the past sold multi-brand boxes, but is making single brands more of a focus with several yet-to-be-announced partnerships slated for the last half of the year.

Mary Dolan, Social Interactive Marketing Manager, said that the partnership serves as an example of how Total Beauty helps drive brand awareness. The alliance with Revlon is unique in that the featured items are considerably discounted.

“This program reminds consumers that even a well-known, mass-market brand like Revlon can bring new, exciting beauty experiences to the table in similar fashion to some of the more boutique, prestige brands. And offering this trial experience at a great value (with little risk) creates a positive, brand sampling experience for the consumer, in turn driving those consumers to head for the Revlon shelves when they go to the drugstore, ” Mary said.
