Sephora executive Artemis Patrick has been appointed to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Global Chief Merchandising Officer of Sephora, effective August 1. Artemis will continue to lead North America Merchandising. She has been with the retailer for 14 years, most notably shaping categories such as indie fragrances, textured hair, inclusive foundation assortments and clean beauty.

In her new role, Artemis will report to Chris de Lapuente, President and CEO of Sephora Worldwide and a member of LVMH Executive Committee, and will continue to report to Jean-André Rougeot, CEO Sephora, Americas, in her North America role.

As Global Chief Merchandising Officer, Artemis will lead strategic planning with Sephora global teams to identify, fast track and develop multi-year growth plans for new and exclusive brands within the Sephora portfolio. Additionally, she will help shape category thinking to fuel growth and expansion, as well as ensure a cohesive global approach to the development of brands.

Artemis is also a consistent leader in several business functions, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sephora inside JCPenney, where she oversaw a retail network of more than 500 stores including online. Prior to that she served as the Vice President of eCommerce Merchandising for Sephora.com.
