Shiseido Americas has appointed Shannon Britton as Chief Information Officer, effective September 14. She will report to Ron Gee, Interim CEO of Shiseido Americas.

“Shannon will be an integral part of the Americas Team as our organization continues to invest in leading edge platforms to advance business intelligence, planning and efficiency across our end-to-end supply chain,” said Ron.

Prior to her appointment, Shannon served as Head of IT for the Americas of Diageo, one of the largest global producers of spirits and beers including such brands as Guinness, Johnnie Walker, Don Julio, Smirnoff and Bulleit. In her new role, she will oversee all enterprise-wide IT application activities and platforms for Shiseido Americas, including operations in Canada and Latin America. Additionally, she is expected to play a key role in introducing new enterprise technology capabilities, deliver groundbreaking customer experiences, and ensure scale to support Shiseido Americas’ growth objectives.

In her former position at Diageo, Shannon held roles of increasing responsibility in Supply Chain Information Systems, Customer Service & Operations, Marketing, Sales Operations and Global Commercial Technology. Prior to Diageo, she spent several years at IBM Global Business Consulting Services, where she was responsible for SAP implementation for clients such as Gillette, Nabisco and Pitney-Bowes.
