Shannon Curtin, Walgreens Group Vice President and General Merchandise Manager of Beauty and Personal Care, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, effective September 1.

Lauren Brindley will be taking the role of GVP and GMM of Beauty and Personal Care. Lauren has served in commercial roles in Boots—primarily Beauty and Personal Care—for the last 10 years, after starting her professional career at Tesco. Lauren begins her new role September 8.

During her six years as GVP and GMM, Shannon created an online Beauty University program for the retailer’s vast group of beauty advisors, and launched a quarterly magazine for Walgreens’ best customers, Discover Beauty Within. She is credited with creating and nurturing several exclusive beauty lines there, including Nonie Creme Colour Prevails and Circa Beauty. Shannon joined Walgreens in 2009 from Walmart as Divisional Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Beauty and Personal Care. Shannon’s passion for beauty started while working at the fragrance counter at her local Dillard’s when she was in high school. After college she worked for Walmart corporate for nine and a half years, starting out as a buyer’s assistant and rising through the ranks.
