Known for creating buzzy skin care products, influencer duo Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores Ireland have announced the newest member of the Summer Fridays lineup – a nourishing, pH-balancing cleanser inspired by mineral-rich sea water and powered by a blend of skin moisturizing and soothing ingredients. The product, which retails for $38, will make its debut on Wednesday, February 5 on Sephora.com and SummerFridays.com.

Earlier this week, the brand began teasing the latest launch to its 275,000 followers on Instagram with video clips of women swimming in teal oceanic waters and emerging with glowing skin. Many fans were quick to guess the latest innovation is the brand’s first cleanser, rounding out its skin care offerings, which includes CC Me Serum and two face masks, Jet Lag and R+R.

The Super Amino Gel Cleanser features a cocktail of 11 amino acids selected for their properties known to replenish, protect and support skin elasticity. The formula also includes Maris Sal (also known as Dead Sea Salt) which aims to calm irritation and boost radiance; a mixture of vitamin E, sodium PCA and sodium lactate designed to help skin attract and hold moisture, and a naturally derived coconut-oil surfactant meant to dissolve makeup, excess oil and impurities.

In August 2019, Summer Fridays secured a minority investment from Prelude Growth Partners to help grow the brand and expand its team. CEW’s Indie 65 Report estimated the brand closed 2018 with between $10 million and $20 million in sales.
