The 2020 WWD Beauty Inc Awards became a virtual event this year, offering a ceremony for all to join from the comfort of their home, at a respectable 10 a.m. Kicking off the event was a Keynote by Bluemercury Co-founder and CEO, Marla Malcolm Beck, who talked about the retailer’s pivots throughout the year, such as its success with masterclasses and its commitment to diversity and inclusion. Marla’s insights were followed by Unilever’s Sunny Jain, President of Beauty and Personal Care, who was interviewed by WWD Executive Editor, Beauty, and Beauty Inc, Jenny B. Fine. Sunny discussed the company’s sustainability plans, self-esteem and advocacy initiatives, and plans for building business in China.
