Addison Rae, the second most followed individual on TikTok, is launching a makeup line, ITEM Beauty, with brand innovation incubator, Madeby Collective. Due out next week, the collection was developed for Gen Z consumers and features six clean and vegan makeup products – mascara, jelly eyeshadow, brightening powder, brow definer, lip oil, and contour duo – with prices ranging from $12 to $22. The line is expected to be a hit given Addison’s impressive reach of 52 million followers on TikTok, 24 million followers on Instagram, 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube and 3 million followers on Twitter.

“We are thrilled to be working alongside Addison. She is an expert storyteller, an inspirational social media pioneer, and she has an uncanny ability to captivate and mobilize a community,” said Jennifer Gosselin, General Manager of Madeby Collective.

This isn’t the first time TikTok stars are breaking into the beauty business. Recently, 16-year-old Charli D’Amelio (the most followed person on TikTok with more than 74 million followers) and her sister, 18-year-old Dixie D’Amelio, (who has over 30 million followers on the app) partnered Morphe to launch a new Gen Z-friendly product range, Morphe 2, which was released on Morphe.com on July 30 and will become available on Ulta.com on August 2. However, this launch marks the first time a TikTok star has entered into the beauty space as an entrepreneur with her own brand. Addison’s official title will be Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer.

The collection will be available on ITEMBeauty.com starting August 11 and will be sampled through Madeby Collective’s sister brand IPSY, via its Glam Bag beginning this September.
