Ulta Beauty has supplemented their nail assortment with a new collection, Young Nails, which officially launched at the specialty retailer this month chainwide with an assortment of products made especially for DIYers. Items include Caption Long Lasting Hybrid Polish (which applies like a polish but lasts as long as a gel); nail art kits (featuring art stamps, ombre and sugaring); and Tipsies, (press-on tips) that come in an array of designs.

Items sell for $10 for a polish, and $10 to $15 for a kit. Items will be merchandised in different areas of the store based on unit size, in both the professional and retail sections, as well as on end caps.

Brothers Greg and Habib Salo got into the nail business thanks to their mother, Young, who started Young Nails more than 20 years ago, with a focus on the professional channel. Greg and Habib’s entrepreneurial spirit saw an opportunity to expand into retail, and new items were born.

Known for their hybrid nail polish, the line quickly gained a cult following with professional manicurists worldwide, thanks in part to a strong social media following.

Caption is formulated to deliver all the benefits of a gel manicure without baking with UV rays or the hassle of a time-consuming removal. Caption is the first nail polish to incorporate LacQ3 Technology into their formulas, the brand said. The multi-patented triple-layer fusion of dual polymer technology, volcanic glass, shellac and plant-derived plasticizers allows manicures and pedicures to wear as tough as gel, and dry with a mirror-like shine for up to nine days without chipping.
