In a letter to customers distributed late Tuesday afternoon, Ulta Beauty CEO, Mary Dillon, stated that due to the rapidly changing environment with the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, Ulta Beauty will be temporarily closing its 1,254 stores across the U.S. as of 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19 until at least Tuesday, March 31. In-store pick-up will not be available during this time.

Ulta Beauty is the latest retailer to announce closures, joining Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Glossier and Sephora. Dozens of beauty service establishments are closing as well, including Nunzio Saviano Salon, John Barrett Salon, Paintbox, JINSoon Nail Salon and Unique Threading, at least until the end of March.
