Walmart is no longer a follower in beauty. The discount powerhouse just added another star-studded name to its growing beauty stable and it’s a big one—Bobbi Brown.

The makeup mogul-turned-wellness guru is taking her beauty-from-the-inside-out supplement collection Evolution_18 (originally launched on QVC but no longer sold there) to more than 1,500 Walmart doors and Walmart.com. The line is the first supplements brand to be sold in Walmart’s beauty department, according to Jody Pinson, Vice President, Beauty, at Walmart. Evolution_18 is also sold on its own website.

Bobbi joins other high-profile recent launches for Walmart, including non-toxic baby brand, Hello Bello, co-founded by Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, as well as chic home décor from Drew Barrymore and her Flower nameplate.

With the debut in Walmart, Bobbi, who founded her namesake brand in 1991, is helping to bring wellness mainstream and accessible for all. Euromonitor International reports global supplement sales surpassed $106 billion last year. Until recently, much of the buzz has been in the luxury market fueled by Goop, Sephora and Barneys New York. However, mass brands, such as Pacifica in Target and Nature’s Bounty, have been expanding in mass stores.

“At Walmart, we are always expanding our assortment to meet customers’ needs, and with that, we believe inner beauty is very important, so it was a natural fit to partner with Bobbi Brown on the launch of 10 new Evolution_18 products,” Jody said. “We also believe beauty and wellness products should be accessible to everyone and with the emergence of beauty supplements, we saw an opportunity to introduce Evolution_18 at Walmart’s everyday low prices.”

Walmart’s website posted a conversation between cosmetics buyer Melanie Deschaine and Bobbi, who supported the concept of inclusivity as a reason she launched with Walmart versus with prestige retailers who helped build her empire.

“Health and wellness shouldn’t be exclusive, they are things that should be available to everyone. And I can’t imagine a better partner than Walmart to help make my products accessible to everyone. Not only is this new collection affordable, but the supplements really work.”

She also explained the origins of her brand’s name—which is named after her lifestyle company, Beauty Evolution, and the address of her photo studio, 18 Label Street.

A certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Bobbi has always been vocal about women’s health and wellness challenges, as well as a desire to enter the supplement space.  She even penned a book about it, “Beauty from the Inside Out: Makeup, Wellness, Confidence” two years ago.

“Beauty does start from the inside out,” she said in announcing the Walmart partnership. “I’ve always believed the better you take care of yourself on the inside, the better you look on the outside.” Bobbi sold her makeup brand to Estée Lauder in 1995 and remained its Chief Creative Officer unto 2016.

Priced between $9.98 and $19.98, Evolution _18 consists of 10 items.  Products are formulated with clean, high-quality ingredients for healthier skin, nails and hair and include: Beauty Bubbles Collagen; Beauty Bubbles Hydration; Beauty Collagen Shot; Beauty Collagen Powder; Beauty Glow Capsules; Beauty Gummy; Beauty Probiotic; Beauty Superfood Powder and Beauty Debloat Tea. Despite Bobbi’s role in the line, her name is not on the packaging. Her image, however, will appear on endcap displays housing the collection, as well as on content on Walmart’s website.
