Euromonitor International’s new data reveals a strong beauty and personal care industry in 2016, with a respectable 5 percent growth. For the second consecutive year, the premium segment outperformed its mass counterpart, with nearly 6 percent growth. A consumer study by Stowaway Cosmetics and Poshly reveals that more than 80% of consumers know that makeup has expiration dates yet still don’t discard it because they forget, feel guilty about the money they spent on it, or worry they may need it later.
