The deal brings Revlon, which has its strength in drug store color cosmetics, hair care, men’s grooming, antiperspirants, deodorants and beauty tools, squarely into department stores with the addition of Elizabeth Arden’s portfolio of licensed prestige fragrances and prestige skin care, color cosmetics and fragrance products.
Consumer segment sales fell 1.3 percent to $320 million, though Revlon ColorSilk hair color, Cutex nail products and Sinful Colors cosmetics reported higher sales, they were offset by decreases in Revlon color cosmetics resulting from inventory reduction in the U.S.
Fabian replaces Lorenzo Delpani, who stepped down from the role March 1. Lorenzo continues to serve on Revlon’s Board of Directors as a paid advisor.
