The Winky Lux Experience
Join CEW at Winky Lux’s first fully-immersive experience store in New York City’s Soho neighborhood. Walk through 7 completely transportive rooms that celebrate wildly unique products and magical beauty moments.
The WINKY LUX EXPERIENCE is a pop-up, designed to spark imaginations, create sharable content and foster opportunities to connect with fellow CEW Members, beauty lovers and friends. While exploring, you’ll also hear the story behind Winky Lux directly from Natalie Mackey, CEO of Glow Concept and Founder of Winky Lux.
Natalie Mackey is a brand builder and serial entrepreneur.
She began her career in finance, but soon became drawn to
the idea of building companies. In 2010, she co- founded
Mackey Morgan (now Crescala Development), which helped market fashion brands like
Katie Ermilio, Prabal Gurung and Christian Siriano. It was during a licensing negotiation
that she fell in love with the beauty business and also saw an incredible opportunity to
In 2015, she launched Glow Concept, a holding company set on disrupting the billion-dollar
color industry. The portfolio brands, which include WINKY LUX, Beautiful Rights and Laqa
and Co., launch products every 15-30 days. Combined, the brands sell to over 3000
retailers including ASOS, Sephora International, Glowhaus, Nordstrom, and Ulta. Winky Lux
opened its first Experience Store in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood in August 2018.
“Our secret sauce is in our supply chain, we use technology to track trends and launch
products every month. Our customers, both wholesale and retail, are counting on us to
deliver newness and deliver it quickly (like the rainbow eyebrow palette). Our team of
seven starts every day by asking how we can delight the customer? How can we create some
magic for her?” – Natalie Mackey.
1. Create a culture of innovation. Let people fail, but help them fail fast and pivot. You can’t
do anything extraordinary if you’re playing it safe.
2. Run lean. Spend less than you make. Focusing on profitability is the only way to ensure
you stay relevant, because it’s the only way to ensure you survive.
3. Have integrity. Know the sustainability of your supply chain and the safety of your
ingredients. Demand the same from your partners.
4. The customer is BAE. She deserves something special, because she is special. She works
hard, she’s stressed, she’s busy changing the world. Our job is to create something gorgeous
to delight her and remind her of how beautiful she is.
