In her current role at Target, the second largest general merchandise retailer in the U.S., Christina leads the merchandise teams responsible for making all product assortment, pricing, promotion and presentation decisions for a multi-billion dollar health & beauty business. Additionally, Christina is responsible for driving the channel strategies between stores, online and mobile in partnership with Target Marketing teams.

Prior to her current role, Christina was the Merchandise Planning Director responsible for inventory planning and supply chain management functions for all household commodities, personal care, paper, baby and beauty products at Target. Beyond Christina’s experience in Beauty, she also held several other merchandising roles in Toys and Consumer Electronics.

Before joining Target in 2003, Christina spent several years as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, and served as a product manager for two Boston dotcom start-up businesses.

Christina currently serves on the Board of Governors for Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) in New York, a nonprofit professional organization focused on leadership development for men and women in the beauty industry. She received a B.A. from Cornell University in 1997, with a double major in Spanish and Economics, and her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2003, with concentrations in strategy, organizational behavior and marketing. Christina is a member of the 2013 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.

A leader in the consumer packaged goods and retail industry for more than 25 years, Anne Martin-Vachon joined HSN in May 2012 as Chief Merchandising Officer. In this role, Anne is responsible for the overall merchandising strategy for HSN brands across all product categories as well as the development of new product offerings and brand partners, planning and programming.

Prior to joining HSN, Anne served as Chief Marketing Officer for Nordstrom, Inc., responsible for marketing strategy and plans, marketing operations and visual merchandising for Nordstrom, Nordstrom.com and Nordstrom Rack. In that role, she was credited with growing Nordstrom’s new and total customer file, launching a new branded campaign for Nordstrom Rack and helping fuel the growth of Nordstrom.com.

Previously, Anne was President and CEO of the international beauty and skincare company Lise Watier Cosmetiques, Inc. and Chief Marketing Officer at Bath & Body Works, LLC. Anne began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she spent more than 20 years and held a variety of leadership positions across P&G’s portfolio of beauty, personal care and household brands.

Anne has been recognized for many achievements throughout her career including the Harley Procter Marketer award in 2003 and the Cosmetic Executive Women‘s (CEW) Achiever Award in 2002.

Since 2008, she has been actively involved in the Board of Directors for Total Beauty Media.

Anne earned an MBA in Marketing and International Business from McGill University and a bachelor degree from the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivieres.

Shawn Tavakoli is CEO of Beauty Collection, a prestige beauty retailer with several brick and mortar locations in Southern California and an online store at www.beautycollection.com.

Shawn had an early start in the beauty industry. His parents built and managed a successful store in Los Angeles where Shawn worked through high school and college.

After five years of working as a CPA, Shawn returned to the business and in 1997 opened his first store in Calabasas, California.

The first www.beautycollection.com store was launched in 2005, making Beauty Collection’s unique selection of brands available to customer’s nation and worldwide. In an effort to improve on its success, a newly designed Beauty Collection website was launched in 2008.

Beauty Collection currently represents over 350 prestige and salon beauty brands with over 30,000 unique products chosen for their quality and distinctiveness.

Shawn attributes Beauty Collection’s success to its focus on customer service and product selection that’s created a large number of loyal fans. Everyone at Beauty Collection works hard to fulfill the brand promise, “Curators in the Art of Beautiful. ”
