Beautycon Media Co-Founder and Creative Director, Jonathon Burford has made a career building brands within the beauty and fashion media industry. He has crafted Beautycon’s visual identity and brand persona into one cohesive message: embrace “imperfections” and challenge traditional beauty standards to redefine what beauty means.
He co-founded Beautycon, transforming the original B2B beauty conference into influencer-driven, consumer-focused festivals with branded products and original social-first content. All while promoting the use of make up as a tool for self-expression, leaning on the mantra: You don’t need lipstick, lipstick needs you.
His vision and direction for the brand established Beautycon Media as a cohesive 360 experience. Making use of his background in experiential, digital, marketing and design, Burford curates every detail of the Beautycon world.
Prior to the founding of Beautycon in 2014, Burford brought a whole new meaning to the title “creative director” through his innovative content production for a variety of brands. On the founding team at Maker Studios (now Disney Digital ), he collaborated to conceptualize, design and develop original lifestyle video content for the largest network and YouTube production company in the world. He transformed Maker Studio’s corporate identity, as well branded a range of owned and operated network channels and generating awareness through a range of email campaigns, web interfaces, and social media content.
In tandem with co-founder and CEO Moj Mahdara, Burford continues to direct Beautycon’s brand identity, pushing boundaries, forecasting trends, and paving a new definition of beauty for Millennials and Gen Z.
Jonathon currently resides in Venice Beach with his dog, Billy.

Georgie is a seasoned Creative Director with a unique combination of punk strategy, entrepreneurial spirit, pop art direction and cinematic vision. She has received countless accolades for her work in pushing the boundaries of experiential content. Georgie has directed award-winning content for incredible risk-taking brands such as Diesel, Heineken, Belstaff, Rag and Bone and Target. Having grown up in Australia, Singapore, London, New York and Boston, she approaches life and work with an open mind and a non-traditional approach. Now as Co-Founder and Creative Director of Milk Makeup, she leads the brand's visual identity with an unprecedented multi-media presence. She is redefining conventional beauty and embraces individuality and authenticity in her creative vision for the brand.
