Rea Ann Silva wants to help you “make up”.

Her experience spans a 20-year journey as one of the most sought after makeup artists in Hollywood – known best for her flawless, glowing look. She used that talent to revolutionize the makeup industry as the creative force behind beautyblender®, the multiple award winning genius cosmetic sponge applicator that has taken the beauty, professional and retail world by storm.

Rea Ann sought to modernize the way we “make up” by creating an easy to use, versatile tool that both makeup artists and women everywhere could use to achieve a beautiful, flawless complexion.

Beautyblender was born in the makeup trailer of one of television’s first hi-definition shows. The constant touch-ups throughout the day required hand-cut, edgeless sponges to mimic the seamless look of airbrushing. Soon, every celebrity that sat in Rea Ann’s chair wanted their own hand-cut sponge. A lot of ingenuity and creativity later the famous pink sponge was born. Today, this “category creator” has changed the way woman around the globe apply their makeup.

As a mother, “glamma”, celebrity makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur Rea Ann believes that our time in front of the mirror needs to be easy and fun and should require as little mess and fuss as possible. She has set her sights on continuing to develop tools that offer seamless solutions to some of our most common beauty dilemmas. Whether its designing the perfect compact for makeup retouching with Blotterazzi, taking the guesswork out of creating the perfect cat eye with Liner. Designer or introducing new shapes and colors of beautyblenders to fit different makeup techniques and needs, Rea Ann has created an arsenal of must-have products that both the makeup pro and novice cannot live without.

She stays on top of her beauty game by continuing to work in the film and television industry and is responsible for flawlessly making up some of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood including Regina Hall, Macy Grey, Brandy and Erin Andrews to name a few.

Rea Ann plans to continue pouring out her tips, tricks and makeup artist secrets into her line of revolutionary products. Her experience and reputation has made her a sought after beauty expert whose knowledge has graced the pages of some of the world’s most prestigious publications.
