Responsible sourcing processes ensure that the company harvests plant-based ingredients from renewable origins, all without negatively impacting the ecosystems from which they are sourced, including using environmentally friendly methods when possible.

Eva NYC
All ingredients have a different story but are all responsibly sourced. The aloe in Eva NYC’s Just Glisten is sustainably sourced from farms in Guatemala. The blue tansy in Eva NYC’s Brass to Sass Collection is a yellow flower that is sustainably sourced from Morocco and is COSMOS-certified. The baobab seed in Eva NYC’s Mane Magic is sustainably sourced from the African baobab tree, and is COSMOS-approved.

In December 2011, Mustela's parent company, Expanscience, became a member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), an international non-profit association set up to preserve the planet's biodiversity and ensure compliance with fair trade regulations. In 2016, Expanscience acquired the Peruvian firm Deshidratados Tropicales, which specializes in sourcing and processing plant raw materials. With this acquisition, Expanscience provides for a more secure and more traceable supply.
