Why is CEW membership important to you?

I joined CEW when I first started in beauty 15 years ago.  Being a part of an industry group that supports and promotes women is exceptionally valuable for me.  I have had the good fortune to have connected with many supportive women who have helped me throughout my career and I love the chance to help others.

Do you have any tips for getting the most out of CEW membership?

Attend the events and be an active participant.  Make a point to connect with new people – whether they are peers or individuals who work at other beauty brands or thought leaders.  And make sure that these connections are authentic and mutually beneficial.  You can always learn something new and connecting with like-minded people who come from diverse backgrounds is a source of inspiration and new ideas.

What is the most exciting aspect of your current role?

The nature of my business is ever changing.  Keeping up with our consumers and meeting her needs continues to evolve.  The pace is exciting and the opportunity to constantly learn and grow and to test hypotheses that I can then scale and see results are particularly gratifying.  I also have the privilege of working with an exceptionally talented team.  The sheer passion, drive and commitment of our entire brand team keeps me energized to continue on this amazing journey of working in luxury beauty.

How do you spend your time when you’re not working?

I spend my free time with my family!  My husband and sons not only keep me grounded, but allow me to view the world through a lens that inspires new ideas, offering insights and solutions to problems that I might not have otherwise imagined.  This is also true for travel — I love traveling and experiencing new cultures and meeting new people.  I always come back from trips with new ideas that invigorate me.
