Deepica Mutyala is the founder & CEO of Live Tinted and a renowned South-Asian American beauty entrepreneur on a mission to champion multicultural beauty through community, conversation, and products. Mutyala aims to dismantle colorism with the collective voices and power of the Live Tinted community.

Mutyala rose to the forefront of the beauty industry in 2015 when her YouTube video depicting a beauty hack to cover dark undereye circles using red lipstick went viral, now boasting over 10 million views. Following her rapid rise to fame, Mutyala became a celebrated on-air beauty expert, YouTuber, and most importantly, activist campaigning for minority representation in the beauty industry. It was this commitment to supporting those overlooked in the space that spurred the founding of Live Tinted in January 2018, emerging first as a digital platform to explore beauty and culture and give voice to those underrepresented in the space. A year later, in May 2019, once Live Tinted’s follower base had grown exponentially, Live Tinted released its first product to answer to the community’s request for a high-quality product that could address their common skin concerns, namely dark circles, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation. An ode to Mutyala’s viral YouTube video, the Huestick – an eye, lip and cheek multistick that balances skin tone – was born and became an instant best-seller, selling out almost immediately and amassing a 10,000+ person waitlist at the onset. Mutyala continues to expand Live Tinted’s offerings through community-driven products, most recently with the launch of HueGuard, an innovative daily mineral SPF 30, moisturizer, and primer that protects skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays and blue light while blending seamlessly into the skin, giving it a natural glow with no white cast. Looking ahead, Mutyala plans to expand into additional beauty and skincare products.
