Do you have any tips for getting the most out of CEW membership?

I recommend staying aware of CEW happenings and events. The events are the best way to stay connected to industry insights and network with others. I enjoy the Speaker Series, Founder Fridays, and Beauty News.

What do you love most about working in the beauty Industry?

I love the constant innovation and change of the beauty industry. I love that beauty can transform and inspire, encourage and uplift. It’s a feel-good business, and there is incredible passion in this industry. Once you connect to that, you want to stay with it!

What do you feel is the most important quality for someone to possess in order you have a successful career?

It’s hard to narrow it to one quality…. Focus, dedication, goal oriented, vision, strong work ethic… all these come to mind. If I had to narrow to one, I would say relationship skills. There is nothing I have done alone that has contributed to my overall success, it’s been the sum of partnerships, teams, talent development, and mentors around me for my career.

How do you think Covid-19 will impact the future of the beauty industry?

I think with the shift to online shopping combined with no-touch, low-touch trial environments in brick and mortar, covid has changed the landscape. I think creating a personalized experience that is safe, entertaining, convenient both online and in store will be more important than ever. Relationships and trusted advice will continue to be key, and the synergy of online and in store will be paramount as clients take to devices to research and purchase while still wanting that hands on, unique in store experience.
