Sophie Lilley

VP, Marketing

Kiehl’s Since 1851

Sophie Lilley is currently the Vice President of U.S. Marketing for Kiehl’s Since 1851. Since assuming her role in January 2019, Sophie has been integral to Kiehl’s US retailer expansion and digital-first strategy driving all aspects of Kiehl’s marketing strategy and championing a customer centric and data driven approach.

Sophie began her beauty career with L’Oreal in NYC working on Giorgio Armani Fragrances, where she developed the Acqua for Life UNICEF Tap Project Initiative. Forever a makeup addict, Sophie’s true calling was found during her time at L’Oreal Paris, working on all makeup color categories, followed by two years on Yves Saint Laurent Beaute.  The stars aligned when L’Oreal acquired Urban Decay in 2011 and Sophie excitedly ventured to the west coast to learn from the best. As one of the first L’Oreal employees at Urban Decay, Sophie was responsible for establishing the global marketing department and functioning as the unofficial “L’Oreal” translator. During her time leading Global Business Development, Sophie worked on the launch of Urban Decay in 43 countries, guiding the global brand strategy through her deep knowledge of the US and international makeup market. After 6 years of “bleeding purple”, Sophie returned to her east coast roots to take on the skincare market with another rule-breaking and original indie: Kiehl’s Since 1851.
