Artemis Patrick is the Executive Vice President, Global Chief Merchandising Officer for Sephora. In her role, Artemis is responsible for leading the strategic merchandise planning to identify, fast-track and develop multi-year growth plans for priority brands and categories.  Under her leadership, she shapes the prestige beauty retailers future growth and expansion, and ensures a cohesive global approach to the development of brands. Together with her merchant team, Artemis focuses on bringing the needs of all Sephora clients to the forefront of the makeup, skincare, fragrance, hair and wellness categories.

 

Artemis began her retail career at DFS Group Limited, the world’s leading luxury retailer catering to the traveling public. Since joining Sephora in February 2006, Artemis has helped shape some of Sephora’s most breakthrough category and product leadership initiatives to date, including indie fragrances, textured hair distortion, inclusive foundation assortments, and clean beauty. Leading with a passion for innovation and risk taking, Artemis helms a talented team of merchants, product development specialists and store concept experts. During her 14 years at Sephora, Artemis has been a consistent leader in several business functions, including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sephora inside JCPenney where she oversaw a retail network of 500+ stores including online, and prior to that served as the Vice President of eCommerce Merchandising for Sephora.com. Most recently, Artemis served as the EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer for Sephora Americas, where she remains responsible for driving Sephora’s product vision and ensuring market leadership through product differentiation. Artemis currently serves on the Operating Committee for the company and is a member of the Global senior leadership team.

 

Artemis is the recipient of several industry awards including: Cosmetic Executive Women’s Achiever Award; City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Award; and The National Mother’s Day Committee’s Outstanding Mother of the Year, alongside Chelsea Clinton, recognizing exceptional women for successfully building their careers and nurturing their families.

 

Artemis received her BA in Economics from University of California Santa Cruz and University of Madrid Spain, and her MBA from San Francisco State University. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and daughter.
