Why is CEW membership important to you?

Being a CEW member allows me to stay connected to industry trends and, more importantly, keeps me connected to industry people and like-minded individuals who love the beauty industry as much as I do. CEW is a good resource to network and learn from others and it’s a great place to get ideas; look for ways to grow your career or get introduced to new roles and opportunities.

Do you have any tips for getting the most out of CEW membership?

To get the most out of your CEW membership, my simple tip is to be an active part of the community. Attend events, participate in conversations and volunteer for speaking opportunities, stay in touch with other members and take advantage of their Beauty Industry Mentors Program.

What is the most exciting aspect of your current role?

I love working in the beauty industry no matter what I’m doing! In my current role at Rodan + Fields, I’m most excited about the work we are doing to support the brand launching in new global markets, introducing new consumers to our life-changing products and the business opportunity, and thinking of new ideas every day.  As well, as a Board Member of our Prescription For Change Foundation, I am most proud of the good we do helping high school students in need learn life-changing skills.  That’s the beauty of the beauty industry, it’s always changing, there’s incredible opportunity and the heart to give back.

How do you spend your time when you’re not working?

I am naturally a curious person so I love getting up every day and seeking out new information. I am always looking for ways to learn more through reading, travel, museums and new people I meet.   I have a passion for history, biographies of powerful and entrepreneurial women, the environment, and the science of things.   It all adds to my ability to drive innovation in my role and it’s a lot of fun along the way.
