Avonda has spent her career as a Sr. marketing executive for several beauty and fashion companies – Revlon, Renaissance, Iconix, L’Oreal Paris and the last 10 years as a marketing consultant creating new products for beauty brands. Six years again a job opportunity led her and her family away from the hustle and bustle of New York City to experience the Nordic life. She lived and worked on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark, with her husband and two children. Inspired by her surroundings and the natural lifestyle in Scandinavia, she created the first luxury line of skincare for the V (the delicate skin of the bikini area), an area most beauty companies either ignored or treated as a problem area rather than beauty. Launching the line in Europe and then Hong Kong, the brand is now gaining awareness in the U.S. through the network of wellness and luxury spas and salons, beauty e-tailers and Neiman Marcus Trending Beauty, Blue Mercury and Revolve.
