Five Minutes With Function of Beauty’s Alexandra Papazian

With nearly two decades of experience across three continents — including 15 years at L’Oréal and Laura Mercier — Papazian is an energetic beauty industry leader known for building and revitalizing global brands. So what is her strategy for Function of Beauty, where she took the helm in 2021? We got a glimpse into Papazian’s vision on the eve of the introduction of Function of Beauty’s SOS (Save Our Strands) Custom Repair, a customizable, repair-focused line of four products. At its heart is a patent-pending biotech-powered bonding technology with two naturally derived actives: a glucose derivative and an itaconic acid and arginine blend said to target damage on both the cuticle layer and in the inner core of the hair. Custom Repair will go live on the company’s website on April 29th.
